Pen of the Pastor:
It was interesting to receive in my mail a pamphlet that challenged me to “cherish my heart” by learning more of what I can do to stop the #1 killer of women. Nurturing health, what about our souls health! St. John 12 35-36 explains to us what to look for in our spiritual health!
“then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whether he goeth. While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light.”
Vs 44-46: Jesus cried and said, “He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever, believeth on me should not abide in darkness.”
The Lord does not want us to abide in this world without direction! He has given us LIGHT to bring joy, peace and laughter to the soul!
January brings the mind to say, “I shall work on my weight and overall health.” Before too long we have forgotten about our resolutions. External resolutions do not bring much success, but I say, that the internal resolutions, God is there to help you overcome and succeed.
You want success in your LIFE: Come to JESUS; He is the One who changes the HEART AND GIVES YOU DIRECTIONS!
Today, we are one day closer to heaven,
The graces of God, they are new every day,
His goodness and mercy keep coming my way;
The love of my Lord I could never explain,
But this I do know, it is always the same.
Dear Lord let me thank You, for giving to me,
Thy richest blessings so boundless and free;
Today and tomorrow, and the rest of my days,
May they always be spent, in giving you praise.
